aBout me & ningjing
my story
Welcome.
I’m Edina Gora, the "Ambassador" and senior teacher of Ningjing.
If you’d like to know who I am and where this path comes from, here is my story.
Instinctive Beginning
We are born with a natural longing to connect with the world around us. For me, this was no different. Yet alongside the outer world, another one appeared early on — a world that could only be sensed by turning inward. A quiet inner space where I would often retreat, immersed in subtle images, sensations, and the calming richness of imagination.
I was nine when a book called Sport and Yoga by Yesudian fell into my hands. I played with the strange postures, trying to imitate them from the pictures, and although the practice itself didn’t stay with me, one sentence did:
“The greatest problem is that we do not know how to breathe.”
I began observing my own breath and deliberately taught my body to abdominal breathing. I invented small movements and paired them with breathing — and something opened. The rhythm of movement and air began to lead me; I found myself absorbed in the moment, connected both to the world around me and to the one within.
Conscious Learning
In 2001, during a difficult period of my life, I met Qigong for the first time in a formal way. On the very first day of the course, I realized that what I had been doing instinctively since childhood was, in fact, Qigong — I simply didn’t know its name.
As my body practiced breath and attention, my mind slowly began to reorganize itself.
I learned how to be quiet, and within that quietness, a kind of knowledge appeared — not learned from books or teachings, but through direct experience.
For a long time, I believed I had found something mystical.
Today I know it is a natural human ability — one that our modern, overly yang-driven world gradually trains out of us.

Growth and Transmission
I have been practicing for more than twenty years, opening doors of perception that lead from breath into what I now call Related Presence.
I learn and I teach. Sometimes I withdraw, and then I return to share. Ningjing emerged from this rhythm — not as a technique, but as the natural unfolding of the yin quality.
Over the years, this path opened more and more along the axis of sacral space–heart–awareness: a feminine way of relating that does not try to “fix” anything, but gently leads us back to our original rhythm.
I do not preserve a tradition, and I do not seek to build a rigid system.
I only share what has proved true through lived experience:
a Related Presence born from quietness — and the path that leads to it.
If something in these words resonates with you, this path may invite you too — so that your natural capacities, and the values already within you, can unfold with greater ease and freedom.
